The Wolfson Unit for Endoscopy is a 5-roomed, state of the art endoscopy facility, research department and national training centre, specifically designed for the provision and teaching of colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy. Over the last few years thousands of clinicians and nurses have visited the unit to attend Endoscopy training courses and observership programmes. Thirteen consultant grade users and three nurse endoscopists perform in the region of 9,000 procedures within the unit. It is linked to the Kennedy-Leigh Academic Centre from where teaching and research are coordinated.
